Who it’s for

Clergy preparing an interfaith panel or a sermon that speaks across traditions. Teachers introducing comparative religion to students who have never been inside a faith community. Scholars who need a fast reference, not a five-hundred-page textbook. Curious people who grew up in one tradition and want to understand a neighbor’s. Anyone who has asked “do other religions believe in this too?” and wanted a real answer instead of a guess.

ManyPaths is for people who take religion seriously — as a subject worth understanding — without assuming everyone must believe the same thing or anything at all.

What it does

Enter any topic — forgiveness, afterlife, fasting, prayer, social justice, grief — and choose the religious traditions you want to explore. Many Paths returns a side-by-side comparison drawn from primary texts and established scholarship, in plain language.

• The Research tool — for clergy who need sermon prep, devotional writing, or deeper scripture study — is available on a free trial basis and then by subscription.

Why it exists

Most interfaith education fails in one of two ways. Either it flattens every tradition into a single vague spiritual message (“we all basically believe the same thing”) — which isn’t true and isn’t respectful. Or it presents traditions as alien to each other, incomprehensible without insider knowledge.

ManyPaths tries for a third path: honesty. We describe what traditions actually teach, including where they disagree with each other. We don’t smooth over real differences. We don’t rank traditions against each other. We explain and compare, then get out of the way.

We built this because congregations and educators deserve a tool built for them — not a Wikipedia page, not a generalized AI chat interface, but something designed around the specific questions clergy, teachers, and curious minds actually ask.

A note on sources and AI

ManyPaths uses AI to generate comparisons from primary religious texts and established scholarship. Comparisons are built from source materials — scripture, theological commentary, tradition-specific scholarly literature — not invented.

That said: we are not a substitute for a scholar, a clergy member, or a primary text. ManyPaths is a starting point for understanding, not a final word. If something matters for an important decision, verify it against the source.

We are committed to accuracy and to representing each tradition fairly. If you find an error or a representation you think is wrong, tell us. We take that seriously.

Who built it

ManyPaths is a product of getmAIde, a veteran-owned civic technology company. getmAIde is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Our mission is to make public systems legible — including the belief systems that shape hundreds of millions of people’s lives.

We are not affiliated with any religious organization, denomination, or interfaith council. We receive no funding from religious institutions. We have no theological agenda.
